I have been a beer enthusiast for many years, attending all sorts of events such as brewery tours, beer festivals, tasting and pairing dinners, and home-brewing seminars. My wife hates going into the beverage store because I spend so much time searching for a new beer I haven’t tasted. Each month I receive my Mid-Atlantic Brewing News and I immediately sit at my kitchen table, crack open a cold bottle and read about the wonderful world of beer that has me so fascinated.
I have the great opportunity to work at the most historic restaurant and bar in Princeton, The Yankee Doodle Tap Room. My initial brainstorming about Yankee Doodle and historical Princeton lead me to the American Revolution. Many of our founding fathers and American patriots were beer enthusiast themselves and brewed beers of their own creation in small batches for their family and friends. When choosing what beer to write about first, I immediately decided I would choose the Boston Beer Company because after all Boston was the birthplace of the American Revolution. Continue reading
